The Global Logistics Cluster’s Environmental Sustainability Team, Waste management & measuring, Reverse logistics, Environmentally sustainable procurement & transport, and Circular economy (WREC Coalition) supports the humanitarian community by developing and disseminating practical guidance, tools, trainings, and best practices in the areas of Circular Economy, Green Procurement, Waste Management, Reverse Logistics and Greenhouse Gas Emissions with the objective to reduce the environmental impact of humanitarian logistics. Its vision is that by 2030 the humanitarian supply chain community will be fully aware of its environmental impact and equipped to implement scalable, coordinated, and sustainable approaches to mitigate that impact.
